God in heaven
Hours to 2020 is seven
You alone can best relate what this year has brought
Far beyond what we could ever thought
Many entered this abating year with oceans of hopes
But the bestest they could have were negative slopes
God in heaven
Many 2019 has birthed disappointments
Talk less of the plentitude who married broken heart more than eleven
That the only option they could wish is earthly banishment
God in heaven
Billions of souls 2019 has blown
Many so dear to our heart we can even list
That bleached our hearts without healing catalyst
God in heaven
Many in 2019 were colonized by sorrow
That squeezed us to loss hope for our tomorrow
As though our living on earth was mistaken
God in heaven
Lord of history
And Lord of the natural order
We have prepared to enter 2020 with keen
We pray you bless us this year with positives recovery
Hearts that love
And long life
God in heaven And source heavenly peace
Grant us good in this year
And the years to come
And save us from the evil that they may bring
